Question New to Paphs and need advice

I now have a few Paphs. Thought they looked weird to begin with, but am swiftly falling in love. I am trying to figure out where to look to know if they are sequential bloomers, multi-floral, etc. Any ideas?

The best way is to become familiar with the various subgenera and the species that fall within them. For example, subgenus Polyantha are what are considered "multiflorals" and the Cochlopetalum are sequential bloomers. The book "Tropical Slipper Orchids" by Harold Koopowitz is a good reference if you want a book.

I wish I could help you out in a single post, but you'll have to do some research and general searches on the web to find specifically what info you are looking for. Maybe post the paphs you have in this thread we can take it from there.

Ok, Mitch, here is what I have that I am wondering about.

Paph Oberhausen's Diament (primulinum x sanderianum)

    Paph gigantifolium x sanderianum

(Paph Supersuk 'Eureka' AM?AOS x Paph Raisin Pie 'Hsinying') x sib

Paph Hsinying Glory '#2' x Paph Magic Leopard '#3'

Hope this gives you some insight so that you can give me some.

I would take orchidlady's advice. If you really want to get into this, there is no way this can be summed up in one paragraph. Research is the key and a critical part of the challenge of any orchid genus, IMHO. Time for homework!

Jonada, primulinum x sanderianum and Paph gigantifolium x sanderianum these are multifloral the other 2 I cant help unless you give me their parents.
If you looking sequential blooming you need to look for Cochlopetalum as mention by Susan. There are primulinum, primulinum var, purpurascen, moquettianum, glaucophyllum victoria marie, chamberlianum and liemianum, another sequential blooming from bracypetalum are concolor and bellatulum.
