Thanks, Betty. I am hoping the roots are strong enough to survive. The little growth on the cochleata that was barely visible when you sent it to me is over 2 inches tall now. It is doing pretty good!

your plant roots looks pretty good for a successful re pot...it will take some time to get back the leaves but all in all the plants far from being a loss

the new medium looks good too. nice and chunky keeps roots from being too wet gives em what they need without excess...

patience now is on the menu

Well, the remaining 2 leaves are starting to look yellowish today. If I lose these leaves, is there any chance that the roots will produce another growth before they die off too?

Are you giving this orchid plenty of air movement, Jonada? The roots look fine (a little thin) but fine. Can you post up a current photo and let us take a look. I wonder also if you might be having a temperature problem?

    cheers,
    BD

Hey, Bruce, I missed your post. I was worried about the temp myself, but I bought a min/max temp gauge and that seems better than I thought. I have a fan that blows on my babies all the time on a low speed. Since I posted this all the green is gone. I am still watering the roots, but don't have any hopes. However, the upside is that I found the seller that I bought the orchid from online. I sent him a message about what had been happening. I figured that it was going to do no good, but at least I had gotten to vent. Well, he wrote me back and after some discussion he is sending me a new Dancer for free. I was just amazed! So, and advice for this new guy would be appreciated. Wish me luck!!

    Default The new Dancer

Here is the replacement plant I was sent. I hope it is ok as it took a lot longer to get here than either of us thought. This one has a smaller leaf span but has 2 fans instead of 1. What do you all think?

Jonada; I am certainly no expert on Phalaenopsis, but this certainly has the look of a healthy plant to me. The best of luck with this orchid and how nice to get a free replacement from the seller. He must be a good person.

I am very happy with the plant and with the seller.
And Al, I'm sorry but it is a Paphiopedilum.

That plant is in gereral, very healthy; and it's leaves the correct color of green. ( some that don't get enough light are too dark )! I'm sure that it will do well for you, Jonada...Betty :-)
