    Default Phragmipedium grande.

    Placed this pic on another site but so pleased with this first flowering couldn't resist repeating it on here. It has nine growths which all look like they are of blooming size. The plant measures about 32" at its widest point and around 30" in height from the top of the compost.

    A bit difficult to photo in the greenhouse and the weather is so awful it was not possible to take outside. You will have noticed that a flower has dropped off since yesterday.
    The continual irrigation seems to be improving all my phrags and also a few paphs.
