The first rolls off the tongue nicely--well, considering how complex it is.

The only problem with that is that another Dr. Spock wrote a well known book on how to raise babies. Of course OUR Doc Spock has a lot of insight on raising ORCHID babies....:-)

Dear Doc Spock,
I know this couple who are trying to have children. Paul was very excited initially, when he thought Phil was pregnant, but nothing more has happened. Phil's 'spike' has turned brown and withered, so they won't be attempting it again anytime soon. Both parents are quite dejected. What you do recommend?

Live long and prosper, Sir Doc Spock! Has a nice ring to it. You are a delight to laugh with, Hoa!
Sorry about your friends, Julie. You're right, once the spike has withered it may be a while before they can try again. Maybe with patience and proper stimulation it won't be too long. Better luck next time.
