I agree. I see roots, but no spikes. The roots coming between the leaves are arial roots. Phals like to wave their feet in the air.

Very nice! what are your growing condition? I have had a catt for awhile, but have acquired several phals recently, and would love to know.

Alana, this plant is being grown under 4 T-5 fluorescent bulbs about 2" under this set up for 14 hours a day.The pot is a cut down 2-liter soda bottle w/drainage holes in the bottom and vent holes 1" from the bottom on the side wall.I water once a week, every other week I place this pot inside of a margarine tub and let it soak for about 3-5 mins. All my Catts. are growing outdoors on my front porch, except for the last week. It's been way to cold lately. Have Fun,Rich
