helloo friends , i recently bought a phal mini, within 10 day the plant started looking stressed, its in sphagnum moss and the moss is very wet so i have stopped watering.and started spraing water twice a day, but its getting worst every day,i really don't know what to do, the nursery guy told me that if i remove the moss that holding the plant, the plant will die. i want to repot that in coconut husk and charcoal but i am worried that the phal will die,i have lost my 5 phals by re potting. the pot is a 6 inch pot and there are some healthy roots in it shall i get a smaller pot .pls help
I would gently take it out of the pot and make sure there are more healthy roots towards the center. I like moss, but I only put enough in the pot to keep the plant steady. You could pull a bunch of the moss out of the root ball to see if there is some rot going on. They grow on the sides of trees in the wild so I don't think that removing it from the pot should hurt.
