Default What determines age of a phal orchid?

I've heard somewhere that you can determine a Phal's maturity or when it will bloome again by the size or amount of it's leaves? Is this true or just a myth as I have one not currently in bloom but has 7 leaves and one growing most well over 12inch long!

Im not sure but i would say no. I have one that is apparently 15 years old, and it has about 6 leaves each about 30cm long at full size. A friend has a 4 year old one that has the same sized leaves. The spike on mine is also about 1.4m high with multiple branches and over 60 blooms. So perhaps the spike behavior reflects age?

Leaf count and size doesn't necessarily reflect age, but it does reflect maturity. As soon as your phal is making leaves of consistent size, you then know it is fully mature, and when given the proper conditions, it should bloom.
