This is a discussion on What should I do????? within the Phalaenopsis ('moth orchid') Information forums, part of the Frequently Asked Questions category; Hi all, I am new in this forum . I have a question for you ...
Hi all, I am new in this forum. I have a question for you guys who have many year experience in growing phals. Today for the first time I bought a phal orchid and it took 20 mins to bring it home. The outside temperature was 8 F!!! When getting home, I noticed that its petals shrunk and got droopy see below:
Around 8 hours are passing and it is still droopy. If you have any suggestion to help it get healthy, please dont hesitate....
Well, I'm still nursing a sick dend, trying water culture now, don't think it's going to make it. I have bought a 4th phal in bloom. This time I've decided to keep it in a clear pot so I can keep my eyes on the roots. Is it normal for the ones on top to be white and shriveled? I have two phals in clay pots, roots were a nice plump light green but are starting to shrivel. How much water do phals need?
