Phalaenopsis NOID

    Does anyone know what this is. The tag only said Phalaenopsis.

    It looks like several phals. You may have a hard time getting a valid id on this one. It is pretty though.

    Sometimes, when you least expect it, you'll stumble across a pic like it somewhere online. I'd google 'phal with spots' and go through their pages of pics...often that is how i'll id an unknown. Usually plants are propagated in large bunches and then spread out amongst nurseries. So often several other sellars will have the same plants. Whats frustrating is when you find another and it's not labeled properly either. lol Been there, done that.

    This is a pic of something that is similar, Phal Desert Heat. Someone sooner or later will make the comment about how difficult it is IDing phal hybrids....no joke, Sherlock!! And, unless you want to go to the expense of doing mericloning genetic studies because you want to use it in a cross, be happy your lovely plant is healthy and looks great...and as you can see I'll bet there are lots of hybrids out there taht shar parentage with both of our plants and have similarly looking flowers.
