Oh,Wow, I want them all! The peloric is beautiful! "Kitty Cat" has been on my list a long time but always seems to get moved down. A Violacea is very high on my list, I really, really, need one of those.......have you seem all the crosses?
Thanks for sharing these. Now I have all day to look for a place to put some more Phals!

Have no fear Mr Enabler (although I do believe you still owe me for all the catts from last time), my mother shared and bought me one plant, and lunch! Probably quite a good deal for a day out arranged at 8 in the morning.

That was my ethic, since I have proved myself capable of a) not killing all my phals and b) getting all but one to rebloom by now I figured it was time to dive on in. Plus, I was getting a bit annoyed by how samey all the big hybrid phals looked at the show, there wasn't a whole lot of imagination going on. Not that I don't love them, but when you are looking to actually buy something and they are all the same or very similar to what you already have, I get a little frustrated.

Al - Thanks for the effusive compliments, makes me feel much better about not actually being able to get into my sitting room! Yes, the violacae come in such an amazing hue - although I am hoping for something fairly different in colouring to Sweet Memory which gets a lot of it's colour from violacea I understand. I think a blue would be too much to hope for, but a nice white based one would be cool.

And to all those kingianum-less people out there - I'm sorry, I was wrong! I obviously have issues and inferiority complexes coming out my ears and see conspiracies where there are none. Let's see if I can actually grow it to a massive sign before I kill it - it's my first Den after all.

I know what you mean Kerry. The hybrids do get quite monotonous some time. It's either purple, pink or white around here. Someone local just deflasked tons of phal species which I wouldn't mind getting my hands on.

Kerry, I love your peloric. It looks so much like mine. I like this one cuz it's unique. I usually don't like pelorics. Mine is called Phal Minitris Peloric. Take a look at yours' twin.

Well, I also bought into the "everyone and their dog has a kingianum" recently, and I have two small ones....one was on the more than half off table at the local nursery, the other a small and happy looking seedling from the orchid society meeting. However, both are pretty unhappy, sorry looking things already. *sigh*
