Aaaaaah! is right!
I do love taking pictures of the labellum too, they are so amazingly detailed and make fantastic pictures.
Thank you for sharing your efforts with us, it looks brilliant.
Man I wish I could do that with my camera. Well, actually, I can, I have a really nice 35 mm Nikon N65, and I have some great lenses, but I just have a simple digital and I can barely get a flower to focus properly w/o zooming out all the way. Alas...
When my digital feels like it, it can take some awesome pics. Other times it goes blurry and is a pain. I'm thinking it may be time to change the battery. After two years and thousands of pictures, it may need a new one, eh? lol Once in a blue moon I can get a nice zoom on the labellum, other days I have to get my husband and his steady hands to give me some help.
I have been doing some picture taking today, and have come to the conclusion that rather than zoom in on the labellum, I should change the settings to the highest possible picture size, take the photo from further away, and then crop the picture on the computer to get my close up. It seems to help with the shaking hands (particularly a problem today having drank nearly enough alcohol last night to pickle a barrel of apples) and my inability to psychically communicate with the camera as to exactly where I wish it to focus!
Great pic for sure!!
