    Default Phal Mini Mark

This is my Mini Mark! It arrived in February (online purchase) during a snow blizzard with severe cold damage (new top leaf was dry in the crown). It hasn't grown new leaves yet, but it has thrown 3 spikes although the plant is quite small. It looks very healthy now in s/h! I'm anxiously expecting it to grow a leaf or two, but the blooms (1 opened today and 4 in bud) make the wait better!

Lovely bloom, looks more yellow than the cultivar I had, which was white with light spots.

Great plant! I have one on the way now and this just gets me more pumped to check the mail. Did yours come in S/H or did you make that switch? Seems like it's adjusted well if so.

What a cutie! I just got my first mini phal too, but the colors on yours are wonderful! Good growing - I'm glad you were able to revive it from it's trip so well. Three spikes - wow - can't wait to see a pic of full bloom.

Thank you for your compliments, everyone!
When it arrived, it was planted in bark, rather deteriorated I might add, so I transplanted into s/h asap (as all my phals are in s/h) to avoid any root rot, considering the extensive damage the cold had incurred to the crown. There are some patches of damage on the crown but they are dry and won't probably develop into a nest of rot! I prefer misting it every now and then to keep the medium moist and help the new roots develop. However this little plant, despite all odds, prefers to spike and bloom rather than grow vegetatively, an exception to all my phals which at the primal stage of trasplant to s/h sulk, throw new roots then grow some leaves.
It sits in a clay plate with my 2 other phal species seedlings under (medium intensity) artificial lights that are on 10 hours during the night.

I like the color and dots. This is my to-have orchid for my mother day present. Maybe I will have mini mark bloom next year!

10 hours during the night? Do they get any light during the day?

Great plant. I'm not sure which I prefer the yellowish one or the complete white one. I guess both will do for now.
