    Default Huge Onc. Butterfly Orchid

This is an Oncidium Intergeneris Alliance Psy Mariposa Onc. Papilio x Onc. Kalihii 'Green Valley' . It is the first flower from this plant and I was told that it is a continuous bloomer for years to come. On top of that there is new growth coming out as well. I have a few more pictures of this guy and many others in My Yard in Fort Pierce FL if anyone wants to see more of my chids'.

That's a lovely psychopsis. That stem will bloom for many years. I have over a dozen different pyps (the short hand for them), and Ron_NY has many more. My biggest flowering one produces blooms in excess of 7 inches tall. As they mature, the flowers may grow larger. Good growing and glad to see yours is happy.

It's wonderful. Now how did I kill mine? I think I shouldn't of transplanted it, but now with a little more knowledge I'm ready to buy another one and try again.
