Phal- first orchid to bloom in my care:)
I just wanted to share with you guys these pictures of my favorite Phal. You might say, what a small spike and just a few buds on it, but still, I am proud of myself, since this is my first ever Orchid in my small collection and the first Orchid that I get to re-bloom for me.
I have no idea what it is called. I bought it last year with two beautiful long spikes with many blooms. This year it has one short spike...with seven buds. The first one just opened a couple of days ago. I am hoping that next year it will do better, because since I bought it, it was a sort of an expermiental Phal with me trying various things that I learned.
Thanks for looking guys
Fadi

Well done! Any plant that one gets to re-bloom is a victory, you should be proud. (I kill Phals so it's impressive to me!)

Great growing and it is indeed Phal Luchia Lip. While my flowers are starting to fade after being around for the last several months, they make a beautiful showing. Some say more light exposure makes for shorter spikes because the don't have to "reach" for the sunlight...who knows????

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

Congratulations. I always get a little extra zing when I bloom an orchid for the first time, even though I've got hundreds..

Great Phal! I know how you feel, since i rebloomed my first Phal ( and orchid ever) for the first time a few months ago, and it looks the same as yours! It had longer spikes, but less flowers! Good for us! :-)
here is my Phal , if you want to see it!
