    Default NOID Brassia

This is a first bloom for this plant, only took it 4 years to decide to give a display but it did a good job. Any ideas on a name.
    Thanks for looking, Cin

Thanks for the complements, I wasn't sure that it was a Rex as it was more yellow and the bars were thicker. But I bow to your expert knowledge.

Hey Cin, I was going to guess Rex "Sakata" also. Yours looks happy! I have one with only 1 spike and two flowers open thus far. It used to be a bigger plant than it now is. I notice yours is in a basket - what kind of medium is in it, and are you using screen or shade cloth to keep the medium in the basket?

    Thanks, Kathy

not sure what it is, and not a real brassia expert, but my guess with the would be an Edvah Loo...Rex seems to have very 'regimented' inflorescences with the flowers in perfect order. very well-bloomed regardless! how tall are the spiders?

Beautiful! It could also be Brs. Datacosa. We sold lots of those between 2004 and 2005 and I suspect they were pretty available all over. The one we have still in our collection is Brs. Datacosa 'Chou Cing'.

Here is a tiny photo. Sorry, but it is from my database. I don't have a recent in-bloom photo.

Whatever it is, it is a monster and stunning! Nice growing!!
