    There is a certain sub-group within the orchid world that specializes in collecting peloric orchids. It has gotten to a point where there are breeders that are intentionally trying to trip the genetic make-up of the plants so that they produce consistently peloric clones.

    There are "double-bloom" cymbidiums (2 lips, 6 sepals and 4 petals attached to one column) that could fetch as much as US$500.00 per plant. I prefer the normal one thank you - and my wallet agrees.

    Yeah, I guess I'm a traditionalist as well. Which, for me, is also convenient because I couldn't afford the crazy expensive mutations.
