Default Phal name question

I just bought a new phal hybrid this weekend and the nametag is confusing.

Here is the name tag text as it appears on the tag:

White Phalaenopsis Large (A)
P1206-CJ
P. (P. Sweet Moon x P. Cygnus)
P. Taisuco Sheen x P. Carmano Show

The first two lines are obviously just in-house labels from the grower.
*And I did try to look up the P1206-CJ code from the grower's website and did not find any reference to it.

The bottom two lines are what confused me.
It could be that the first name is parent 1, and the second name is parent 2.

What further confuses me is that the grower's list contains other entries such as:
P. ((P. Sweet Moon x P. Cygnus) x P. Taisuco Sheen) x "another parent"
They appear to be quite fond of crossing the P. ((P. Sweet Moon x P. Cygnus) x P. Taisuco Sheen) with several different phals.

So the tag is either missing an "x" so that it should be:
P. (P. Sweet Moon x P. Cygnus) x P. (P. Taisuco Sheen x P. Carmano Show) ?

Or it is also missing the parenthesis so that it shoult be:
P. ((P. Sweet Moon x P. Cygnus) x P. Taisuco Sheen) x P. Carmano Show ?

Either way, this is a lovely large phal. The flowers are about 5 inches in diameter all around, white with a little yellow and dark spots in the throat. And the leaves are about 12" long.

Here are some pictures of the flowers.
The flowers appear a little beat up. Perhaps from all the shipping until it reached the store shelf.
The second flower actually looked like it got run over by a bicycle lol.

Hi John,

I put all of the names into OrchidWiz and here are the only ones that came back with results:

No photo of this one:
Phalaenopsis Taisuco Sheen (Phalaenopsis Taisuco Crane x Phalaenopsis Taisuco Moon)

These two are white phals:
Phalaenopsis Cygnus (Phalaenopsis Tokyo Bridal x Phalaenopsis Silky Moon)
Phalaenopsis Sweet Moon (Phalaenopsis White Moon x Phalaenopsis Musashino)

I suspect that your tag is missing the " ( ) " and not the " X ". Simply because of what you found on the vendor website.

Cheers,
BD

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
