    Default Phal violancea 'Borneo'

This phal blooms from the same spike over and over and the fragrance reminds me of 'Fruit-loops' cereal. I love the color and the texture is very waxy. The blooms are long lasting. I also like the leaves on this phal as they are some of the largest in all of our phal collection. Enjoy.

Lovely! I can almost smell it from here

I have grown a violacea seedling for quite a few years and it is finally in bud...I can't wait. Yours look like it is a well grown plant with some maturity to it.

    Smile Beautiful!

    WOW!
I wish I could grow those.
I just joined the Mass. Orchid Society, which holds monthly meetings, and went to my first meeting last Tues. The guest speaker was a grower of intergeneric hybrids (mostly of the oncidium type) and she had a great slideshow whith some spectacular flowers, but nothing as nice as your phal.

I got a free plant (a little paph not in bloom) and there were many nice people, an informal judging of plants grown in people's homes and greenhouses. Very inspiring!

I will be going to an orchid show (my first) this Oct. on Halloween weekend.
Hopefully, I will learn more about orchid culture, and hopefully I can stay within a budget and not go crazy when I go to the show!!!
