Oncidium Burr. Stefan Isler "Dos Pinhos"
Hello everyone,
I had an annoying afternoon, so I rewarded myself with a new oncidium orchid!
I got it at a discount grocer near work, made sure it had a tag because I have too many NOIDS. It is a gorgeous oncidium--I think it is a hybrid with Miltonia because of the way the flower looks (big bottom lip)I love the color and wonder if anyone has one. Sorry about the bad photo quality--I used the camera on my computer and the "Grab" program to save the photos and it only does a fair job.
Some people guzzle a few martinis; I prefer to buy an orchid (which was only $13.99!)

It is beautiful. We have a couple of these with different clonal names. The Burr. Stefan Isler is a very showy oncidium. Good choice and great price!! Nice to see you too!
Cheers,
BD

I also have a variation of that one - I have Nelly Isler, which I adore! Definitely a great reward for an annoying day. Unfortunately, the culture of my Nelly Isler is proving to be a bit tricky, still hanging in there, but not doing so well. :-(

That is pretty!! And good for you for choosing plants over martinis....I know plenty of those people who would head to the nearest bar!! I love oncids, they are just the coolest...put the plant in the sunlight for a few minutes and see if you can detect any scent! Oncids usually smell nice
