    I can't wait untill cornu-cervi looks that awesoms- right now it has one spike that gives me a flower every 3-4 months. sigh... It is growing a 5th leaf though! Yours is very inspiring!

    Thanks all--I appreciate you compliments. So much fun to share orchids with orchid people.

    Lambert--I haven't really noticed a fragrance, however, I have a couple of really fragrant catts and an aerangis blooming. Since the cornu-cervi has a light fragrance, I think it is covered up at the moment.

    Correct name is Phal cornu-cervi flava (not alba)

    I always appreciate an update to my names/tags. In this case, however, it really is an alba. It is an alba form (meaning it doesn't have any red bars/spots) of cornu-cervi not the variety flava of cornu-cervi. Just an "albino" regular cornu-cervi.

    I'm still embarrassed with the term "albino" used for plants.
    Indeed, depending on whether we considering a purely genetic position or a chromatic one, things may change ..

    Yes it is flava.

    I was also confused initially when I mentioned alba to my friends
