    Smile Phalaenopsis noid

I bought this phal during international orchid show 2004. The vendor display very nice mother plant of tetrapis var. christiana which was very beautiful. They told me the young chidis was belong to var. christiana which was very expensive. But when the flower come out is different. Most probably amboinensis white X micholitzii. Just have a look. I felt so frustrated because all fake.

I can understand how you feel, but your flower is a beautiful yellow and so different than many other phal flowers.....if it pains you that much, then just save it for me and the next time I'm over in Israel, you can give it to me...OK

I sometimes think about the fact that maybe some of the plants I have will flower and I will realize that they're not what I thought they were ...
Phal Tetraspis var Christiana is very beautiful but this yellow one is actually very pretty as well!

I know how frustrating that can be. It has happened to me recently. I have a great species phal that is huge and blooms with several spikes at a time that was supposed to be phal hieroglyphia but the markings on the blooms suggest either a natural hybrid or a very similar phal, but not what I was told when I purchased the plant. Every time it blooms, I remember that - oh, yeah, it is a noid.

This yellow one is really beautiful. At least it turned out lovely!

    Cheers,
    BD

That is beautiful! I know how it felt, it just happened to me too recently.

Zainal, I would love to have one of those keikis, maybe in spring. May I get in touch with you later and see if I can offer something for trade?
