I have this plant also! From a well-known midwest grower. Very nice! Mine is in spike right now, but she is white -I'll post some pics when it blooms. Your pics are awesome tonight!!

Wonderful Ron. Are there any Oncs that are fairly small in size? I love my Sharry Baby but it's just sooo big.

Richard, Murray is correct this is a small species., the plant is maybe 8" tall. I find that Onc Twinkles is even smaller than this. There are is also Onc onustum that is small. Onc maculata is more robust but still not a Sharry Baby in size

Becky would love to see your white one.

    Richard,

Oncidium Twinkle, already pointed out as being small, is a primary hybrid between this (Onc. ornithorhynchum) and Onc. cheirophorum, a very small species. So cheirophorum is another you could look out for. My only "complaint" is that it has yellow flowers, so looks like every other Oncidium out there! (Albeit much smaller.) Twinkle has been backcrossed to cheirophorum and the resulting hybrid, Onc. Gold Dust is a small plant.

    Cheers,

    Rob

Question to Ron, or anyone else with an interest in ornithorhynchum, is there an alba form of it? Otherwise, I wonder how there can be such a variation in the clones of Twinkle. I have one (the clone 'Fragrance Fantasy') I consider white (although at least one woman in my OS scolded me for calling it that) and another (the clone 'Red Fantasy') that's pink (less purplish-pink than ornithorynchum, more of a true reddish pink).

    Cheers,

    Rob
