    Default Something Different?

I went to one of the Big Box stores just to look around and walked out with this neat ratching screwdriver set just to open a charge account that I'll probably never use and anothr chid! Well, as things would have it, I used the charge card to get 10% off the chid. There are two plants in the pot....probably a basilar keiki...can't see the base because of all the sphag which will be gone soon. But notice the flowers....each spike comes off each of the two plants! Maybe they look the same to you but to my eye they are different....just a curiosity, I guess....

I just bought a similar one so far so good, after the flowers dropped, I replanted it, then cut the spike and still now I have some growth out of where I trimmed

While I don't know where Roselle, Il. is, I have been to the the same Big Boxes in Chicago and agree....you guys are most fortunate to have so many local growers....everytime I visit family in Chicago, it's a given that we make our little trip to two or three of them in the area....

They do look different to me. The blooms on left have more dots and blooms on right have more lines.

    Both are beautiful!

Maybe it's just the angle/lighting, but the plant on the left seems to have more of a purple tint while the one on the right looks more red.

Could be two different plants from the same parantage. Similar enough to be.

Very nice purchase. A commercial breeder/grower/businessman in south Florida specializes in planting two to a pot and distributes them in decorative containers to the BBS's. I bet there are two plants.
