Default Dtps Queen Beer and Cymbidium

It was an overcast & dreary day today. I was bored, broke down, went to the orchid store, and came home with 2 new plants.

This Cymbidium is smaller than most. The grower says it will remain relatively small.

And just because I'm too lazy to make a separate thread, here's a pic of my new dtps Queen Beer.

Both very nice Stacey. The cymb looks to be pretty prolific. Good purchase. Those dreary days will get ya every time!

Both are really nice, I agree! The cym looks like it would have a wonderful fragrance. Does it?

I love those little 'queen beer' phals. They are adorable...and would look so cool next to my full size phal that is almost the same color. I love the little phals, they are so cute!

My intention this afternoon was to get my friend's orchid repotted since he dropped the pot back in October and I've failed to repot it myself in the past 3 months. lol. I also wanted the store to take a look at my other dtps since it still looks decent, but I haven't seen any new growth in about 5 months. Inevitably, I walked out $73 poorer with these 2 plants.

BD- I stuck my face in the cym, but I can't detect any fragrance. I'll check again in the morning to make sure. The shop had them sitting near the register, and I couldn't resist. :P

Connie- The color of the blooms on the queen beer is so striking. The picture is terrible compared to what I see in person. I hope I have better luck this dtps.
