    Default Mini Phal. #3

Yesterday my husband bought me this mini phal at the local grocery store. It had no tag but it was such a tiny cutie and the pot was amazing, so he suprised me. I took some fun pics of it to show the size of it compared with my standard phals.

This first pic was taken when it was opening last night. It looks like there is a tiny bird in there!

This pic is to show a standard size phal next to my mini....the pot is part of the beauty of this one.

Another phal that recently bloomed, also a purple noid, looks like it could be a cousin to the mini I just got. I sat them next to each other so I could show the blooms' size difference. The larger one is actually only about 3 inches across.

Lastly; a picture of the first little flower to open. I sat it in the sun and had fun taking pics of it. In fact I got so many good pics it was hard to choose which to show of this one. lol

I hope you enjoyed the pics....

I HATE not knowing what Phal this is so it can go on my wish list. On the up side, this is the time of year when Phals begin popping up in my local bigbox stores so I will be watching for a similar pink cutie!

This one should be fairly common....I wish I had a name for you though. The lip is a dark violet and depending on the amount of sunlight the petals go from pink to a light lilac. There were a dozen others exactly like mine, but it's so cute I dont expect them to be there for long.
I'm not sure if this is a true mini, or a very small doritanopsis that they got to bloom early somehow.

Connie, I was in that big box store today and almost broke down and got a mini. The reason I didn't is because it had no tag. I promised myself that in 09 I would only buy. named 'chids.
