Default Dtps. Little Mary x Dtps. King Shiang's Rose

My latest little one to join the gang. You can't tell from the pic, but the spike is actually broken at a right angle to the stem and attached by only a very small area. It looks as if they glued it in place to hold it to the stem. Whatever they did it's working (for now). I don't expect the flowers to last very long, but it was just too pretty to pass up and just because it's broken doesn't mean you can't love it. Right?. Enjoy!

I was so surprised when I saw your photo. I've posted a picture of the same cross ("Basal keiki's first bloom"), but it looks so different from yours. Mine is purple with a white center and has none of those large, lovely spots that yours has. I knew that sibling plants of the same cross could look different, but I didn't realize just how different.

Anyway, yours has beautiful flowers. I can see why you didn't want to pass it up.

Very pretty, Ischel. Is that a harlequin? She's sweet anyway. How big is the plant?
