Default What would you call this?

This was sitting at my apartment door when I got home. Not sure who left it because there was no note!!! I don't have any other hybrid Phals. and this one, actually two in one pot, is a noid. Any idea's what this type if bloom is called? Not sure if you'd call it a pleuric (sp) since there is only one lip.

I call this a beautiful bloom, very delicate and well shaped.
Now how lucky are you to have people leave pretty orchids on your door step!

Nice! It is not a true peloric The lip is petal-like where most have petals that are lip-like. Let me look for the name. One was awarded at the Miami Show last month.

Edit...it was the Fort Lauderdale Show and It is not the exact same Phal. The one I was thinking of was Phal. Krull's Butterfly 'Pink Perfection'

The mutation with this presentation has been referred to as "Bigfoot" type

I really like it, both for the delicate coloring and for the unusual shape. Stephen, you got a winner, even if it is a NOID.

    Cheers,
    Rob
