I have been watching this thread with great interest as I have some catteleia's with wrinkled leaves like that and I wanted to see what others thought. Thanks for putting your problem child on.

It might not the proper place for this thread but I'd like to chime in too
I have a weird sharry baby, it makes new p-bulb atop the latest p-bulb, and then spiking from this topping p-bulb. At first, it only had 2 bloom, then, the second round (with the same habit) it had 3 bloom. Is it genetic or my improper culture ???

I'm sure it's not something you are doing to it. It might just have an identity crisis. Never heard of something like that but I'm still pretty new.

I Good luck agree higher temps and humidity and fertilizer are needed for this orchid to produce.

    Dawn,

Post a picture in a new thread if you'd like. But from what you're describing, I think it's normal growth. Many of the Oncidium alliance crosses grow sequentially upward, away from the pot. And spikes usually come from the newest p-bulbs.

I've always called it "walking out of the pot". It's a pain for repotting and watering, but it's what they do.
