Lucky!! I love that peach one!! I know these guys do like to be dry, and they like high light like a vanda. I had mine in a thumb pot and it seemed like it was too dry to me - I just know they need very coarse media and no sphag. I bet it will do well in your greenhouse Bruce, I would imagine the humidity will help it not get too dry.

I love these as they are so easy to grow. They love wooden baskets as much as clay pots. I let mine stay outside to freezing and they bloom easily the next year. (usually) I love yours....too pretty!

Bruce, I would think in your greenhouse, mounting would be fine. They can certainly tolerate drying out. I don't like growing things mounted because I don't have the humidity (especially in winter) to keep such plants happy. I grow mine the same way Fren does, in small clay pots with a small amount of media (and I use sphag quite readily, there is no problem when the amount is so minimal) so they're sort of semi-mounted. Sphag is really only a problem if it's too densely packed--a common problem, with most commercially grown orchids in my opinion--and/or you're a really heavy waterer.

    Cheers,
    Rob
