    Default Wilsonara Rainbow Tiger

as mentioned in another thread, I did purchase quite a few orchids yesterday.

this is the only one in bloom for my instant gratification moment... the rest are babies (some will take 8 years to flower )

    so, let me introduce

    Wilsonara Rainbow Tiger

the spike is pretty tall, and so far only three flowers are open... here's part of the full spike showing two of them facing the same way and the third facing the wall...

love it when there's a good excuse to buy an orchid!

    cheers
    tim

That is beautiful! thank you for sharing it with us, 8 years is a long time to wait but seeing as I have a lot of babies I might be waiting a similar amount of time to see blooms! It is very rewarding just watching them grow.

I don't have enough years to wait 8!!

Tim, I'm glad you had such a great birthday, and those flowers are just stunning. What a great birthday gift to give yourself.

well, I hope this Tiger will flower every year. I love the multitude of colours in it...

and yes, I know it isn't a Paph, but remember the 8 year wait... that will be for the two Paph Lady Isabel that I bought... they are only babies so it will be awhile til they bloom... and I hope to share it with you all when that happens.

thanks for the lovely comments on this beauty everyone.
