    Default Rescue #3...finally in bloom

This was the third of three phals I rescued awhile back. #3, aka 'Curly' has two plants, I am assuming one is a basal keikei. I am very suprised, I was expecting a spotted flower from the way the buds looked. However, it appears a violet color to the eye, while the pictures show something else. Also; the backs are different...it's like having two different flowers in one. This one was a nice suprise to come home to.

To show the size of my 'Curly' I sat it next to my big huge purple noid I've been letting rebloom and rebloom....

Getting away for a few days was fun...but it's always nice to come home and see my orchids. I came home to new spikes and sheaths on a couple plants. I love this time of year....the orchids grow so nicely.

I must really be tired...I found the tag under a leaf this morning. Don't know how I missed seeing it when I took the pictures. I guess I forgot one of the three rescues actually had cross information. This one is P. Super Stupid 'Brother' X P. Brother Purple Brother I'm guessing it is a cross of my buddy's, where I get my rescues from. And that probably means it's un-named. Maybe someday when it gets bigger I'll enter it in a local show. Maybe....

Very pretty! It looks like an orchid lighthouse. You should show it.

That's a great satisfaction when rescue orchids get better and reward you with beautiful blooms! Well done!
