Default Another Fave-Phal. Paiho Lucky Stripe 'Taiwan'

This girl was in bloom since January. I am doing some repotting this week and her number came up, so the spike came off. The flowers are a little beat up, but still a pretty display .

Beautiful! And I raise my hat to the ability you have to actually cut off the blooms... I find it so hard to do so.

btw, the more i look at the photo, the more I am loving it... the composition is just wonderful.

Gorgeous blooms! I have had to cut a few, or have lost a few to breaking spikes...a pinch of sugar and warm water are two ways to make the blooms last longer. Each time you change the water, trim the stem a little like you would a rose and do the warm water and sugar treatment again. They will last quite awhile and sometimes large buds will open as well.
Can't wait till my Baldan's blooms after seeing yours....

beautiful phal! I love the markings, I had to cut a spike a while back due to a sick plant and the spike lasted 4 weeks in water with a touch of fertiliser in and it didnt get its water changed as often as maybe I should as I forgot, I think I was very lucky!
