    Default Beallara Tahoma Glacier

Hey Guys. Got this very nice orchid labeled as Beallara Tahoma Glacier, but now that it's in full bloom I'm not 100% sure, there seems to be too many spots, but it could just be a seed grown plant I assume. Anyone have any thoughts? I think it's just lovely white and purple orchid.

The lip doesn't look the right shape to me for tahoma glacier. Here is a shot of our tahoma glacier to compare:

    (this is 'Ithan')

    (this is 'Green')

    Cheers,
    BD

I'm with BD. It is a great flower, but not Tahoma Glacier. Well grown too. A lot of the intergenerics arent that easy, especially on a windowsill.

Yeah Bruce, it just doesn't look right. I'm gonna contact the original grower and send them a pic...see if I can get a better ID. Maybe tag switching is the culprit. It is a very nice intergeneric though, I like the blooms and their clustered nature quite a bit.

Of course - it is really beautiful! I would keep it.

Well....emailed the grower. They wrote back that is is, in fact, a Beallara Tahoma Glacier. I now assume it is a seed grown plant, as it has no varietal name at all, and go with it for now.
