I will make a photo for you when I get the chance. I received my plant in trade. I believe I have 2 Twinkle in my collection...A white one like yours and one that is a rosy shade.

@Ron- I completely agree with you. The ornithorhynchum has got to be the best example of an Oncidium that there is. Now I just got to find me one! (I am loathe to order online sight unseen)

Derek, I also prefer to hand pic my chids but in reality I can not always do that. A reliable vendor will be happy to communicate with you regarding the size and condition of their plants.

Derek, I agree with Ron. If it weren't for online ordering, I'd only be able to get phals and milt. hybrids. There are some very good vedors out there that ship outstanding plants.

I'm sure you guys are right. I've had a couple of good recommendations lately, and will prolly bite the bullet and give online ordering a try again. (Actually, the Oncidium ornithorhynchum is one of the 5 or so I want that is making me consider it!)

I've ordered online twice before, the Neo falcata came perfect and the Encyclia came with pretty good heat damage from the shipping, which is the way it is I guess.

Thanks. looks very similar to the Twinkle. Hard to find species at that store where I got mine... well usually i go there to buy oats and soy milk and they have better orchids than those stores where you buy home stuff like nails, boxes and bricks.

But I wonder why Onc ornithorychum is not as available as the Twinkle... Why these big stores only get hybrids?

Is the Twinkle easier to grow or more floriferous than its parentage??

anyway if i find an ornithorynchum I will be happy to add to my collection...
yet still happy with my Twinkle.
How long do teh blooms last?
