Its because Onc twinkle was cloned and mass produced. I wouldnt say that twinkle is more floriferous or prolific (maybe?) but it is definitely a smaller plant and easier to market. Not everyone can say orithorynchum. We have a couple forms of this guy, small one and a large one.
Surely Ron, there is another that rivals this species? stacyi, sarcodes, phymatochillum, limminghei, the psychopsis' those are amazing species!
I agree Ron, ornithorynchum is one of my favorite. I had 6 spikes last blooming.
