I know I'm random, but I would love to live in Florida so that I can keep my orchids out all year long.

Hi Stranger! How is college life? Has your oncidium equitant bloomed for you yet? Mine is being pretty stubborn, but patience is a virture (or so I'm told lol) Do you remeber the name of it? I lost my tag I remember is was Jennifer Sniffen, or something to that nature...

Hehe. School is so busy, it just kod of gets that way when you actually start you're core classes. Dang those teachers. I know I've been pretty vacant around here, but you know how life goes. :check:

I killed all my orchids. They got left out in the car a few months ago overnight. I gave up on them and just threw them away. I had no hope of them recovering. I really should have kept them and just sphag and bagged them. But to tell you the truth the dorm window wasn't big enough to do that. So I am sad that I lost my 'chids, but I learned my lesson. I got one from louis about 3 weeks ago now, not exactly sure. The post office lost it, but amazingly it got here and didn't really seem to mind that it was in a box for about a week. Only problem I am having is that the gas heat is drying my poor plant out and I have to water it every day to keep it from drying out too much. I'm thinking about just leaving it sitting in some water every day to soak it up, but I know that I shouldn't do it. It's just hard to remember to even brush my hair let alone water my 'chid. I love the flowers though.

I looked it up in the archives. It's oncidium little chickadee x onc. sniffen 'jennifer dauro' FCC

I cannot believe I didn't think to look it up I had a moment. lol
I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your plants. That had to be heartbreaking. What kind did you order from Louis? Maybe you should try s/h so it always has water access. Then you wouldn't have to worry about it completely drying out.
