Smile Dgmra. Winter Wonderland 'White Fairy' 2010

Since it is so cold out here in Arkansas, USA, I thought it only appropriate to start by posting this white orchid. It is not the best looking blooming of this guy. He was smashed in between other orchids and when I pulled his spike out to photograph, well, this is what I found.

Luckily you're further south than I am Bruce, I couldn't even see white blooms against all the snow outside of my windows! ;-D

Mine did the same thing. Didn't even know it was blooming.

I have always liked this hybrid. Very readily available around here.

Ditto. Never have tried one though -- members of the oncidium alliance and I often don't get along.

    Nice bloom there!
I love the Winter Wonderland as it was one of the first few orchids I bought years ago. It bloomed regularly for a couple of years, then died. I bought a good sized one to replace it, but can't bloom it. Other Oncidiums grown on the same shelf are blooming regularly for me.
