Default Honest, The Wife Made Me

Recently I've mentioned my desire to "branch out"..... want to get into some species Phals and smaller plants.... Had to go to ta Big Box Store to purchase a replacement GU24-CFL and just as you approach the bulbs, they had this end-cap with chids... Well, no sooner did my wife see this plant, that light bulb retrieval was a lost cause!!!!! I knew better than to have her tag along. The rest is history, as they say!!!! Oh, and yes, I had to go back for the light bulb!!!!!

Nice one, Howard! If you're interested in finding out its name, your best option is to find out from whom they get their plants from. If you contact their source, you just might luck out.

Btw, should I mention that the MSU show is next month?

The problem with that and this specific plant is that it may have come from a secondary vendor. It has one of those "Water with an Ice Cube" tags. So I question that they would have any clue as to the grower/wholesaler, but one lead could follow to another...

And, yes, I have the date marked!

I quite like that. What's a 'water with an ice-cube' tag?

This is a somewhat new gimmick for non-orchid people to make it easier to water the plant. The idea is you place an ice cube on top of the media and as it melts it waters the orchid. Most orchids don't much like water at 32F
