BD already posted a great pic, just wanted to show the unstaked spike...a nice spray...a second is in development, and two pbulbs[just discovered the second pbulb this am shooting this pic ]
Pretty I like the color . Gin
btw; are these supposed to be fragrant? i'm noticing a saffron odor from it, and i'm wondering if this continues to develop with the spike. just curious
Love that color....have thought about this one!
Looking great there, Pete! Those have a very mild fragrance that can intensify under strong light, but I've never smelled saffron ( ) so have nothing to compare it to!
uh, louis, saffron is one of those things i have no other referent for...it's a little woody, a little musty...sounds crazy, but it smells like it's color to me, a rich, earthy yellow......oh nevermind
Nice shot and flower, Pete! How is that one mounted? That's been hovering near my wish list for a while.
it's a regular pot, fairly large mix. because i water from the bottom, i've put a thin layer of sphag on it, keep the mix from floating out.
i'll have to stake the second spike, it's growing directly towards the window.
