    Default Peloric Phalaenopsis

Have this hybrid phalaenopsis since about 3 years.
Bought it on our 'Sunday Market' in downtown Brussels.
The shape of the flowers is a bit peculiar - which is why it caught my attention in the first place.
It is a terrific bloomer as it shows off with its flowers for at least 7-8 months per year.Name: OrchideeŽn+Maart+2010+066[2].jpg

    That's a peloric flower.
In orchids, a term used to describe an unusual and often beautiful (sometimes grotesque) condition where three petals (instead of just one)attempt to fashion themselves into lip colors and/or shapes.

I have seen one of the local nurseries selling this as Phal Carloto.
