Beautiful plant. I've got a plant like this with 3 spikes!

Unfortunately I can't get a photograph of the flowers because it is hanging outside on the grills of my 2nd floor balcony room window. I've got to climb the roof to get to it but I'm not up to doing that and I'm feeling lazy.

Lovely, psychopsis is very cool. I too think they look like space aliens, but my neighbor says they look like chickens. Never seen a chickn like that LOL! Good growing.

Thanks Tami. After reading your post I went out to the orchid house to have a good look (yes, it still looks as fresh as a week ago), and came to the conclusion it does look like an alien chicken.Hahahaaa...

Great orchid Yew and you are obviously a smart shopper. Always great when one finds a
long wanted specimen at a reasonable price! You deserve the enjoyment double! It sort of reminds me of a very exotic Tolumnia. I have a pink one with 3 spikes starting to flower (seems that only happens once a year, but at the exact same time...).

    Cheers, Michael

Lucky you....they are worth it! Haven't done my orchid wish list yet but a psychopsis papillio would be one of them.

Yes Michael, not only double but treble since I've found a vendor with reasonable prices too. Can't wait to make my next visit.

This is the time of year for Tolumnias - mine are all coming into bloom.

That is good to hear, so maybe my Tolumnia sylvestria will have a spike soon...It is supposed to be fragrant, also. Betty :-)
