    Talking Save those back bulbs

    One year ago I divided this plant taking 3 back bulbs and potting them up.(see photo below).

    They have put on considerable growth in 1 yr and produced the following spike and flowers.

    Name:  B. lanceana 'Jem' x B. arcuigera 'Belle Glad'.jpg

    So the moral is .....save those back bulbs, ya just never know what will happen.

    Oh,my- that is impressive! To go from backbulb potting to those gorgeous blooms in 1 year is very amazing. I had thought it would take much longer to reach blooming size! Well done!!

    I am a neophyte and so have to ask, what is a "back bulb"? How does one propogate phalenopsis orchids?
