    @Satish: so far it has been OK. We don't talk about rot and fungus around the plant, so it doesn't get any bad ideas. I really don't know how sound my technique is, but so far so good. I'll be watching it, and the plant knows that.
    I'll post pictures when it blooms.

    @Zainal: I take the plant out and soak it in fert solution for a few minutes, then rinse it out and place it back in the water cup. So there shouldn't be more than a trace of fertilizer in the cup- which makes for less algae growth too(imho)

    Gita, this water cup thing is really interesting.Your aerangis really likes it judging by your healthy plant and the two spikes. Would this method qualify for hydroponics culture? Waiting for you to post pictures of the blooms.
