    Default Mtssa. C.M.Fitch 'Izumi'

I went to my orchid society meeting yesterday and brought home 4 orchids. I think that folks who grew outside over the summer are now thinking about how they'll get them all back inside in the winter, as the sale table had lots of plants. I got 3 catts, not in bloom, and then this gorgeous guy...I've always wanted one!!!

That is certainly beautiful, Kathi. Does it have a fragrance? Thanks for posting it...Betty :-)

I have not noticed a scent, but that does not mean it could not have one...I have allergies am pretty stuffy right now. I could miss a milder scent easily.

Miltassias , alas, are never scented - to me , anyway - but they do make up for it with such lovely flowers and so easy to grow in S/H.
I bouight a different cv of this hybrid ( Charles Mardon Fitch) at the NY show one year , much more dark pink all over , but it didn't do well for me and is now wherever defunct orchids go to - well to be frank, recycled, and perhaps part of my cabbage patch- which ( not doing well, not the cabbage bit ) I put down to the particular plant I got. It has not been available this side of the big pond, as far as I am aware.

Kathi, a very fine Miltassia. This guy is easy to care for in bark/perlite potting medium and it blooms often for me! A super buy on your part.
