I saw that issue, Kev. Interesting photo. I just wasn't sure if I was looking at a root or a spike (too small to tell.)

Ladies and Gentlemen, the pilot *has* illuminated the Fasten Your Seatbelt sign and we will be landing shortly.

Please turn off all electronic devices, have your tray tables stowed, and return your seat backs to the upright position.

    Thank you.

This of course begs the question...

Is Gail Force's bigger than Louis'?

(or is that why she's trying to land this plane...)

Beautiful blooms. I bought my Fritz last year as a bare root. It is in a basket in spag, outside in fairly bright light and is growing like a weed but alas no spikes. I water once a week and fertilize monthly. Any other suggestions!!
