    Default Miltoniopsis Mauii Sunset

Technically, or taxonomically, Milts - many people still call them Miltonias, which is what they were until a few years ago - are in the same group as Oncidiums, but I thought they were better put here ; if Bruce differs and moves them ( plural - a second post follows shortly) I'll bear it in mind for the future.
I used to have a lot, but when I downsized on moving to a smaller house and smaller garden in '04 I sold them all. But I started to collect them again last year. Put them all into S/H immediately, most are doing well, none yet (of course - it takes a couple of years to build up a set of S/H roots ) doing very well. But worth showing I think especially as so many of us here clearly don't know them or grow them.
They don't like too much heat, but they are not cool house orchids like cymbidiums. I grow my Vandas, cattleyas, everything - all at the same temperature - which says it all.

hahah you know me pretty well. I just moved the post when I saw the name and forum. Now I see that you placed it in the other section on purpose. haha.. Well, since most of the others of this ilk are in this section, I will leave it here.

What a beauty of a bloomer. Like sunshine.

    Cheers,
    BD
