Good news: the second spike is in bloom!
Bad news: the flowers don't seem to be so happy And it looks like the newest growth is now dying? Watering this guy is tough because the top is covered in moss so it takes a lot to get the water to soak in. Maybe I'm just underwatering it? Any ideas?

I moved it from the location at home to where all my other orchids are at work, so hopefully the conditions will be better

Is the inside of your clay pot glazed? It may not be allowing enough transpiration of water- it may stay too wet.

It's a plastic pot (that's rather cracked from the size of the plant) sitting in a clay pot but there's lots of room between the plastic and clay - but to directly answer your question, no it's not glazed. I know this plant likes to be tightly potted but I'm wondering if the one it's in is actually a bit too small. I will get some shots of it tomorrow.

Better late than never, a few shots of the pot it's in....too small? I noticed some new growth this morning, so that makes me happy!

I have no idea why the photos uploaded sideways and I can't seem to fix it....
The photos are sideways because that is how they were uploaded from your computer. You would need to rotate them before uploading to the post. The OrchidTalk Photo Editor can rotate as well as resize.

    Cheers,
    BD

That's what I thought at first, but the photos are right side up on my end...that's why I'm confused!

You computer is auto rotating them. When the shots were taken, the camera was turned on end and that is the true direction of the photo in its data. To test this, upload them to the photo editor I linked to in the previous post. You will see they upload and display on their side. Took me a bit to figure out what was going on with my photos too because my computer auto rotates when viewing them, but in editing software, they are displayed as taken.

    Cheers,
    BD

I had to rotate them sideways, save, then rotate back and then they uploaded correctly. I know they weren't shot sideways. Sometimes technology is just weird.
