    Default Ronmaunderara 'Ron Paradise'

Now here is a cross almost no-one here has heard of im sure! My good friend, Ron Maunder made this cross, and it sure is a nice one! BTW, you might want to add this to the genus list.....

    Baptistonia × Brassia × Odontoglossum × Oncidium

Gorgeous ! Thanks for letting us know. With so many of these beautiful blooms I am sure it must have got some prize, I am not sure how orchids are awarded in the NZ.

Ooooh! He has one that will make your mouths water! At the moment he is trying to cross it , but he said that unlike his other 5000+ crosses hes done in his 52 years, this one just refuses! it is Degamoara Midnight something.....'Ebony' and it is almost black. from a slight distance, like 2 metres, it is black, but up close, it has to be as dark as the new Fredclarkearas, if not better! unfortunatly, i didnt grab a pick...i was gonna grab the plant actually and hope he wouldnt notice

That is a beautiful orchid. Congratulate your friend Ron for me for making this cross and for the honour of having a genus name after him. Thanks Jordan for posting.

No problem Yew, and i sure will! He had to think of a name for the intergenus cross, but he couldnt think of anything. He was going to call it after his wife, but it didnt sound right he said, so he just named it after himself
