When I was living in the Philippines. I have this kind of phalaenopsis. Does this plant have the dark purple flat roots? It's nice to see the flower since I didn't get mine to bloom. Great Job.

    Wink roots

    hi eggshells,

Yes, the Phal. stuartiana & schilliriana I notice have maroon colored pointed roots. Meanwhile the philippinensis has green colored pointed roots while growing.

Hi Raul, I can see you're from Baguio. Maybe the reason I can't bloom it is because of the temperature. I lived in the warmer parts.

That's right, the local Phals need cooler temp like 16c-18c to start the spike and when its ready to bloom the temp dips to around 12c in Baguio, that's from December to February. From where I live (outskirts of the City) I have cooler temperature than most of Baguio, that is why the phals I have are constantly blooming.

Thanks for the information. Even if the plant is not in bloom. It's still a gorgeous specimen because of that patterned leaves. Once again, Great Job!
