    Default psychopsis papilio alba

i just love the psychopsis...it was one of the first orchids i ordered from a catalog when i was in high school...and consequently one of the first orchids i killed....but ive come a long way since then...ive been wanting a pure yellow for a long time but have been putting off getting one cuz i believed myself fortunate to have one healthy plant of the regular variety...and that should have been enough...right? but at the rude, near vulgar insistence of a fellow orchid talk member, like a junkie for a fix, i went to the market for a spray nozzle and came home with one of these...
so, AL, these pics are for you!

i dont know why but my camera seems to have brought out the markings a lot more than they appear to the naked eye...when viewing this flower the markings are so understated that the yellow is all you really see...i think my camera was just trying too hard!! oh well...

Yes Shane you are a addict, but this bloom is one hell of a FIX. You really didn't want a spray nozzle anyway did you? They look funny hanging in a orchid basket and they make a lousy centerpiece. I take being called rude and vulgar as quite a compliment. I have heard this before from friends of mine. Yes I know its hard to believe, but I have friends..........like Mothra, King Kong, The Penquin, the Wolfman, and other notable personalities known for their original charm. Getting back to the Psychopsis paillio alba your photos are probably the best I have seen on the Net. I will get one of these sooner than later. AL

Very nice. Is it carrying two flowers on one spike?!? I actually have 2 of these, but they are still very young and have not spiked yet. I will show these lovely photos to mine and see if it helps.

Jordan, breath into a paper bag and then go find the orchid.
